Baseball season is upon us! Get creative with this easy DIY from craft-extraordinaire Kate Camilleri, but be prepared - you will need a bit of time and patience especially if hand sewing is new to you. Let’s play ball!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
A plain white Bonds tee, like this one
Red embroidery thread
Baseball (for getting in the zone!)
All embroidery cotton is made up of 6 strands you'll only need three for this as 6 is a bit thick to deal with. Separate in half, then thread your needle and knot.
Push your needle through the tee at the sleeve seam and put the needle back through at 45 degree angle. Pull through and place your needle back through the seam line ready for the next stitch.
Continue stitching all the way around until you return to the same spot
Now you can do the same on the other side of the stitch line. And repeat on the other sleeve for maximum baseball-y goodness.
Sawwwwwwiiiinnnnnnggggg… home run!
Our new craft blogger Kate loves to spend many hours creating exciting things while dreaming about sequins and sparkle. It all evolved from dancing like crazy and working in costume for the last decade, so all of her creations have at least a pinch of the theatrics and pizzazz. She is currently seeking the perfect balance of practicality and ridiculousness, which always create fun and interesting results!
