Guess who’s back to resume his role as Bonds ambassador? Jai Courtney of course!

The Aussie actor has been super busy lately starring in flicks such as Russell Crowe’s The Water Diviner and Terminator Genisys. During his recent return home, the 28-year-old Sydney boy sat down to answer a few quick questions...

Why Bonds?

I was approached to come on as a bit of an ambassador, and for me it was a chance to do something fun – I haven’t really done this modelling before. I like the brand so I was genuinely enthusiastic. BONDS is transcending from the idea of basics and branching into everyday wear – casual fashion. The stuff is great quality – I mean, we’ve all got BONDS in our drawers or cupboard. It’s an iconic Aussie brand, and one I’m proud to be associated with. Ask my old man if I wore a Wondersuit as a baby! Do they make them for my size now?

What’s your preference? Playing action heroes or villains?

I have no preference! It’s fun getting to dip between both and shake it up. As someone who wants a long career, it’s the ‘leading man’ thing that is ultimately what young male actors shoot for, so I’m trying to establish myself in that realm. But getting to play baddies is a lot of fun, so I hope that doesn’t change!

How do you manage the stunt work? Can it be physically gruelling?

I love it! You always have to depend on support there and having a double. There are things in some films you have to be highly trained and skilled to do, but it’s cool to get out of your comfort zone. I have had to do a tonne of fights and some great stunt car driving, it’s a lot of fun!

Aussie Sport or American Sport?

I don’t get into American sport too much. I keep in touch with the Rugby League, it was great see The Bunnies win the final this year, especially getting to know Russell Crowe. It’s not too hard to stay in touch!

Weather dependent.

Trunks.
