Name: Richard Malone

Age: 30

Where are you from?

Finley, 20kms north of the Victorian border.

What’s your connection to the cotton industry?

I’ve been in Griffith for five years now. I’m a consultant in the industry, which means I give farmers advice on the management of their crops and planting through to harvest.

Describe what it’s like to grow up in the area.

Cotton has added a lot of vibrancy to the area. When I first moved here five years ago the industry was only new and developing. I’ve seen it grow from its infancy to become a strong part of the community. It’s added a lot of extra money to the community and because of that everything has benefited.

What does it mean to be in a Bonds campaign?

A bit daunting to be honest. It’s a bit of fun and I think it’s a great credit to Bonds to be able to showcase their Australian product, which on a global scale is a premium product.

What do you love most about the new Bonds tees?

They’re comfortable to wear and I like the relaxed fit. You can wear them every day and I just think they’re an all-round great product.

Do you have any favourite Bonds items in your wardrobe?

The briefs are a fave. I’ve always been a briefs man. The hoodies are great. I reckon my Bonds hoodie which I bought four years ago from Albury is my most worn item in my wardrobe. I wear it footy training and down to the pub, I wear it everywhere. It’s also lasted for so long!
