At just 18, Fernanda is already taking the fashion world by storm with her super cute street style and sweet personality. We took five with this rising star to chat about everything from fashion must-haves to her fairy floss pink hair!
You’re 18 and already have a BONDS campaign under your belt, as well as being tipped as THE model to watch for 2014. How did it all start for you?
While discussing models and the modelling world in general between a few friends and myself, "Fernanda you should become a model!", was thrown out quite a few times. I eventually sent in photos to my agency, Priscillas, as a joke. However, as luck would have it, I received a phone call the following day and got myself signed! It all just sort of... happened, I suppose.
How does it feel to be a BONDS girl?
BONDS definitely opened up opportunities that I never would have imagined - I definitely would not have pictured myself as a BONDS girl this time last year. As a brand that I grew up wearing (and quite possibly everyone else), I still feel amazed and thankful that I managed to shoot for them!

You could be the coolest 18 year old we’ve ever seen. What’s your off-duty style like?
Thanks! I'm generally either in a white plain long sleeve and skirt/shorts or pjs (seriously) + platform shoes. My closet is quite literally fully white and filled with nothing but long sleeved tees.

We love your hair! What’s the story behind going pink?
I like it too! Pink/unnaturally coloured hair was on my bucket list and then it just... stayed pink haha
At your age, most girls are dressing like each other. Where do you get your style inspiration?
The girls in Japan! They're definitely my number one source of inspiration.
What are your top three fashion must-haves?
Currently, patterned stockings + platform shoes + lip balm (that keeps mysteriously disappearing).
Balancing school and modelling must be tough. How do you do it?
School was definitely a limiting factor; I spent most of my time rushing to and from shoots/castings straight after school - often falling asleep on the train. It was tiring, but the fun factor definitely made up for that.
What do you do in your downtime?
Sleep and game! Though more often than not, I'm sleeping.
It looks like the world is your oyster! What does the future hold for you?
Whatever comes really. I've just been rolling with everything as I go.

Your number one style tip?
Confidence! No matter what it is you are wearing, I feel that if you believe you look good, you will appear that way to others. Likewise, if you feel as if you do not, neither will other people.
