What do you love most about Bonds?
Bonds is such an iconic Australian brand. I love everything they stand for and I really admire how they empower women and men to feel confident in just their underwear. I was inspired by the brand's underlining values - I also loved the fact they wanted to collaborate, meaning that the creative direction came back to a mutual decision, it made it much more authentic and most importantly, a lot of fun!
Is comfort redefining sexy?
Absolutely. There is nothing more empowering than a woman who is comfortable and I mean that in more ways than one! Comfort on all levels leads to creating confidence which, in turn, is sexy. On a more practical level, I am a sucker for comfy underwear over ‘sexy’ underwear. Life is too short to be lived uncomfortable!
How do you like to keep fit?
I used to train with a trainer three or more times a week when the kids still lived in Melbourne however, since moving to Sydney and with my huge Home and Away shooting schedule – the time I have to spend on exercise has sadly, decreased. If I can, I’ll head to Pilates or yoga once a week but if not – I have a mat at home and a mat in my dressing room that I practice on in between scenes or in the evening. My boys are the priority in my downtime so we try to do it together – whether it's heading down to the beach for a swim or to the park to kick the footy. Every bit counts and it’s always fun doing it together!
What would your Home & Away character Kat say about the Bonds Comfytails?
She would feel exactly like I do, “bring on comfort!” Kat and I have such similarities in many aspects. She’s a strong woman but balances that out with vulnerability when needed. She’s fun so I think Bonds Comfytails would be her underwear of choice for sure.
What's a favourite everyday outfit?
My mood absolutely depicts my outfit for the day. I try not to put too much thought behind my day-to-day outfit unless I have an important meeting, shoot or event. It’s so easy to get caught up and time is precious so I’d prefer to be spending that time with my kids. In saying that though, there is a little bit of a uniform element going on - I’m a jeans or shorts and T-shirt kind of girl and I love my sneakers.
Do you have any in-transit rituals, e.g. listening to podcasts, playlists, meditation tracks?
I travel by car everywhere! My life is so spread out across Sydney – from Palm Beach back to Randwick on a daily basis so it’s essential. I think one of the most important elements is looking after your mental health. I love audio books and TED talks and use it as a way of tuning in (and out) almost like a meditation – my recommendation is anything by Brene Brown. I’ll listen to these on my way out to Palm Beach, in between scenes and truly, whenever I have a spare moment to myself.
