#TEAMBONDS FINALIST TRUDI EADE ON MAKING FITNESS FUN
Posted in: people

Over the past month, we’ve been hosting a #TeamBonds challenge to celebrate our recent Bonds Sport range. Each week, we’ve been posting a different challenge to our followers and selecting a finalist at the end of that week. All four finalists have been given the ultimate challenge to write a guest blog post for us to compete for a mega $1,000 Bonds gift card. The latest of our finalists isis Trudie Eade  who shared with us her own personal journey into health and fitness, including how she keeps her workout routine fun and interesting as the mother of twins!

“I haven’t always been passionate about health and fitness. Growing up, I was overweight. I didn’t eat well or exercise and as a result, I was unhappy. When I was 18, I decided to take my health into my own hands. I joined a gym and started eating well. Training at a gym was totally foreign to me and it took sometime before I felt comfortable but I pushed through and stayed consistent. Fast forward to now and I am so glad that I took that step and decided to change my life. I have lost 38kg and haven’t looked back since.

Today I am a mother to 10-month-old twins, and boy, do they keep me busy! Pre-pregnancy, I would keep fit by training 5-6 times a week at the gym. These days, even with the best intentions, I can’t always get to the gym. Being a mother means that life is unpredictable and things can change from one moment to the next (teething, tantrums, twins!)  I always love mixing up my workout routine and the days that I can’t get to the gym just means I have to get creative. I love training outside and am so happy that my babies absolutely love being outdoors too. I often lay out a play mat for the little ones and get to work in the front yard.

Skipping, stair runs, burpees, jumping lunges, push-ups, squats, sit ups and high knee runs are a few of my favourites, but I really believe that you don’t always need a gym and fancy equipment to get active. We enjoy daily walks around our neighbourhood, through parks and play gyms and always have music on in the house so we are known to have a little dance.

I believe having a healthy mind and confidence always helps me keep active. I've always noticed that I work harder when I'm feeling confident. My Bonds Sport  activewear provides an exciting new reason to get up and move, whilst staying stylish and most importantly, comfortable. My goal is to be the healthiest, happiest and fittest mother that I can be. I hope to be a positive role model, and show my babies that being active is not only important for your health, but it’s also loads of fun too!”
